The River Rhone has been omnipresent in my photographic work for 15 years.

I’ve been able to study it in-depth at the request and support of CNR.

My exhibitions have been made possible thanks to the aid of wonderful partners: CNR, IFGR, Actes Sud, and the Cantons of Geneva, Vaud and Valais.

I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Laurence Borie-Bancel, Chairwoman of CNR and Sylvain Colas, its Director of Communication and CSR, for having entrusted this exploration of the Rhone to me with such confidence.

I am also grateful to the Swiss Cantons of Valais – Tony Arborino, Vaud – Sébastien Beuchat and Geneva – Gilles Mulhauser, for their enthusiasm and participation in this project.

Thanks to IFGR and its chairman Erik Orsenna with whom I worked during the international sessions on the theme of rivers.

Thanks to Actes Sud, with which I had the pleasure of working in 2019, for the publication of a book on the Rhone in which part of my photographic work appeared, and for an exhibition they hosted on the walls of Méjan during the Arles International Photography Festival.

I also spare a thought for all the people encountered in the field, on water, and in the territories, and who helped me in this fluvial odyssey: Charly Imoberdof, Thomas Genetti, Pierre Smets, Jetmir Osmankaq, Quentin Mayerat, the Société Nautique du Sauvetage du Léman, the CGN, David Vuarnet, Yannick Cottet, Nicolas Courbis, Philippe Rosellini, la CFT, Denis Volle, Philippe Stypa, Philippe Parmentier, Didier Giachin, Jean Garreta, the Musée départemental d’Arles and Corinne Falaschi.

Thanks too, of course, to the teams of CNR present in the territories for their welcome. Thanks to Franck Pressiat, Florent Tosello, Yves Masson, Antoine Amoureux, Thomas San Marco and the whole team of the communication department.

Naturally, I cannot forget my faithful colleagues, who have accompanied me for so many years in my photographic adventures: Jacques Ripert Helitec, Patrice Mouchez Alris, Hubert Lépine, Gaëlle Maraine Graphistar, Guillaume Knerr Art And The City, Francis Yansenne, Bernard Muntaner and Joanna Bouchet.

Lastly, I would like to thank my wife Sandrine whose poetic words give my photographs an additional reason for being.
